Let your voice do the walking in UT’s
Voice Directory
The Rocket
Telecom Office has launched the Campus
Voice Directory. This technology
offers a quick and convenient way to
help internal and external callers to
reach students,
faculty, staff and departments. The
numbers to dial from on campus is "0",
from off
campus
dial 419.530.1411. So get ready to get
the 411 @ 419.530.1411. The first
time you call 0, you should be
prompted to record your name. The system
will talk you through this
initialization. After that,
you will hear “Campus Directory, please
say the
name of the person or department
you wish to reach.” The system will play
back the person’s name while connecting
your call. If the system attempts to transfer you
to the
wrong person, say “cancel” to
start over. If the system does not
understand your request, you will
be
asked to repeat the name. If you
experience three recognition failures,
you will be transferred
to a live
operator. If you have
